Volunteer of the Month H2O

Charlotte Vetter

A caring and respectful volunteer, Charlotte greets community members upon arrival and leads facility tours. Volunteering fills her with a passion for helping others and gives her a feeling of a strong connection to the community.

The FlowRider® at H2O is currently out of service. We are waiting for a replacement part and will have it operating again as soon as possible. Thanks for your patience.

Make a Difference in Your Community

Whether supporting our programs and events or providing expertise and leadership, volunteers are the core of everything we do. We are able to provide programs and services in part through the generous time of people who have a shared passion for helping others.

Whatever your age, interests, or schedule, there is an opportunity for you to give back to your Okanagan community through the YMCA.

Becoming a Volunteer

  1. Find a volunteering opportunity that's the right fit for you.
  2. Complete the online application form for the position that you are interested in.

  4. Complete a current RCMP Records Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search.

How You Can Help

Here's just a few of the ways in which you can help make a difference at the YMCA:

Member Services Greeter

Greet people as they walk in the door and help them find their way at the Y.

Health and Fitness Instruction

Share your passion for fitness and give back to your community. Support a new-exerciser as a Fitness Host, become a Group Fitness Instructor (training provided), encourage active older adults as a Walk & Talk for 50+ Host, or even work with multiple people on our new training circuit as a Training Circuit Host.
