Ages 3–5
Critical learning takes place in the first six years of a child’s life–learning that requires a nurturing and caring environment. Our Child Care programs provide an environment that helps kids feel at home, learning and growing in a welcoming, safe and stimulating atmosphere.
Our qualified and caring Early Childhood Educators follow YMCA Playing to Learn, a national play-based curriculum that helps build capacity for lifelong learning by creating quality learning experiences through play.
Children belong, grow, thrive and lead in YMCA Child Care programs—that makes for confident kids today and contributing, engaged adults in the future. We believe strengthening community starts with helping kids reach their potential.
Our 3–5 Years programs follow a child to staff ratio of 1:8. Children spend time outside each day and are provided with healthy snacks.
YMCA Early Years Care is currently offered at Little Scholars Child Care, Kelowna Secondary School and Queen's Park Multi-Age Child Care.
