Stay up to date on what is currently available within your YMCA and H2O centres on our COVID-19 Updates page

We need you now, more than ever.

Our community counts on the YMCA in good times and bad times. Now, more than ever, your generosity will give our community an opportunity to thrive again.

We are all feeling the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic on our finances, emotions and overall health. However, our most vulnerable and those at risk have been impacted more than others. As we continue to be responsive to evolving and urgent community needs, we anticipate increased demand for support and subsidized access to YMCA programs like membership, our after-school enrichment program (Beyond the Bell), child care, employment and mental health services.

Please consider helping by making a donation. Your gift will help our community thrive again.

Our Greatest Needs

Essential Services Child Care

Impact on our community

On an annual basis, we provide subsidized access to YMCA programs to more than 5,500 community members. We are anticipating an increased need for subsidized access to programs due to the effects of COVID-19.

YMCA staff support

Protecting our community, members and staff

As a charity that provides programs and critical supports to members and vulnerable groups, our sources of revenues have been drastically reduced during the closures. As we implement and maintain new health measures and protective equipment/supplies in all our programs and facilities, these unbudgeted expenses are estimated to be over $50,000.

Virtual YMCA Services

Keeping everyone healthy and well

For many, the YMCA is their second home, a place they come to stay active, learn, connect and thrive. The Y is committed to the health of our communities and continues to provide virtual health and fitness classes employment services, mental wellness and children's activities at no cost to the community.
