Yes. In fact there are financial supports, including a modest weekly training allowance in addition to training certificates (Foodsafe, SuperHost, First Aid, WHMIS) which you will earn while you are in the program. Modest clothing and transportation supports are offered on an individual basis as needed. 

Youth Works is 4 weeks long, Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:30pm. It includes resume and cover letter writing skills, interview and networking skills, career coaching sessions, training certifications, career research and presentations with guest speakers from the community. After this 4 week portion, participants will continue working closely with Youth Works staff until they gain employment.

If you follow the program outline that our employment experts provide, you will have a significant advantage over other job seekers who have not learned these valuable job search skills. We are well connected with local employers and have wage subsidies available. The more dedicated you are, the faster you will get the result you want. 

A variety of career assessments are conducted to help narrow down and discover relevant career choices and work one to one with our career coaches throughout the program and after if needed. You will learn how to conduct career research to clarify your career direction.
