From the Interior Health Authority: There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the pool water. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g., with chlorine and bromine) of pools should inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19. Appropriate care should be taken both in and outside the pool, to protect yourself and others.

The health and safety of our members, guests and our wider community is our #1 priority. In order to ensure safety in our pool areas, the following will be put in place:

  • Routine cleaning and disinfection will be carried out to help protect our patrons, members, and employees. There may be minor interruptions to your swim to allow staff to complete the cleaning and disinfection tasks.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available as you exit the changerooms onto the pool deck. We ask that you please sanitize prior to entering and exiting the pool.
  • As well we are making it mandatory to shower with soap and water prior to entering the pool deck (due to recommendations from health authorities).
  • A 2 metre (6 feet) physical distance will be required for everyone on the pool deck and all guidelines and protocols for our pool operations are designed to keep this physical distance in place. Please continue to respect this requirement while at the facility, including while speaking with staff (while asking questions or during social conversations).
  • Masks are also now required within all public spaces, including hallways, and change rooms and on the pool deck. View our mask protocol for details.
