Your YMCA Health and Fitness centres are now open — including the Kelowna Family YMCA, H2O Adventure + Fitness Centre and the Downtown Y. The health and safety of our members, staff and community remains our #1 priority. We will continue to follow this situation closely and have implemented the many guildelines and best practices recommended by our local and provincial health officials.

We expect that all YMCA and H2O members read and agree to our code of conduct.

We recognize that there are differing levels of comfort with potential virus exposure – some people think the COVID restrictions in place are too stringent and some think that they’re not stringent enough.  Our YMCA is dedicated to adhering to the public health guidelines and will be strictly enforcing all the policies we have in place. We have a responsibility to ensure the safety of everyone in our centres. Staff are particularly vulnerable to virus exposure as they will be circulating throughout the centres for several hours/day, while you as members will only access the centres for short periods. If it is apparent that you are not respecting the safeguards and preventative measures we have in place, you will be asked to leave.

At this time the following programs, services and spaces are temporarily CLOSED:

  • All pool access, including saunas, steam rooms, hot tubs and pool accessible locker rooms
  • Child minding and all aquatics programming including swimming lessons
  • Pool access is expected to reopen on August 10
